Repair & Mend

Indigene Repair Terms & Conditions

  1. Garments sent to us for repair,  must be clean/ washed.
  2. Repair of an item will includes corrections, such as tears, holes and loose hems, colour / dye stains, embroidery reinforcement, missing buttons. We can’t accept garments with broken zips.
  3. Indigene reserves the right to refuse to repair garments that are extensively damaged and beyond reasonable repair.
  4. In exceptional circumstances we may feel that the repair request exceeds our repairing expertise. In such cases, we will endeavour to advise alternative solutions that our customers can consider independently.
  5. A maximum of 2 garments may be sent for repair at any one time.
  6. The standard repair timing per garment is 3-4 weeks, although sometimes, there might be delay to the repair and return of your garment. We will keep you posted as we progress.
  7. Repair work to be undertaken in agreement with the customer by the Indigene team. Customers will be given an estimated cost for mending and pre-payment as a sign of approval before repair work can commence.
  8. We will always do our best to find a perfect match for all materials used to repair your item (unless you have specified otherwise). In cases where we do not have an exact colour match available, we will attempt to get as close as possible.
  9. Once your garment is ready for dispatch, we will get in touch with you.
  10. Repaired garments will be sent to your address, via courier/ hyper local deliveries. This service will be agreed and paid for along with the rmending charges. You are also welcome to pick up your repaired garments from our studio located in Noida.
  11. Should any dispute occur regarding the service or the terms and conditions, Indigene will make reasonable endeavours to resolve. However, Indigene’s decision is final.

Exchange Policy

 RETURNS

If you are not satisfied with your purchase, Indigene will be happy to exchange it for within India purchases, a 10 day exchange option from the order date. All items must be unworn, unwashed and in original packaging with original tags attached. Please note, we do not encourage RETURNS, as these are hand crafted products, and many a times "made to order". Exchanges are only applicable for defective / damaged products or ones requiring a size change. We will be happy to reverse pick the package in case of a defect or faulty product. In case you require an alteration to be made, please share the burden and send across the piece to us on your own, we will ship it back to you.
To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase.

Refunds 
Once your return/ exchange is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you, and create a store credit for you, which will be valid for 3 months.

Exchanges 
We prefer that only regular priced items may be exchanged, as SALE items might not have exchange options.

We only replace items if they are defective or damaged or there is a size issue. If you need to exchange it for the same item or something else, send us an email at info@indigenecraft.com.

The cost of shipping a return is the shipper’s responsibility in case of alterations required. We will arrange for a reverse pick up if it is a damaged, defective or wrong product. We have the right to deny refunds if the returned items do not meet our return policy requirements.

Shipment processing time

All orders are processed within 5-20 business days, depending upon "READY TO SHIP" or "MADE TO ORDER" status. Orders are not shipped or delivered on weekends or holidays.

If we are experiencing a high volume of orders, shipments may be delayed by a few days. Please allow additional days in transit for delivery. If there will be a significant delay in shipment of your order, we will contact you via email or telephone.

Customs, Duties and Taxes

Indigene Craft is not responsible for any customs and taxes applied to your order. All fees imposed during or after shipping are the responsibilities of the customer (tariffs, taxes, etc.).

Damages

Indigene Craft is not liable for any products damaged or lost during shipping. If you received your order damaged, please contact the shipment carrier to file a claim.

Please save all packaging materials and damaged goods before filing a claim.

Our store is hosted on Shopify Inc. They provide us with the online e-commerce platform that allows us to sell our products and services to you.

Payment: 
If you choose a direct payment gateway to complete your purchase, then Shopify stores your credit card data. It is encrypted through the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS). Your purchase transaction data is stored only as long as is necessary to complete your purchase transaction. After that is complete, your purchase transaction information is deleted.

Handmade with Love

Handcrafting is an essential part of Indigene. All crafts and techniques have a geographical and cultural relevance, belonging to a certain area and community. Traditional crafts each have a story to tell and a reason for existence. Indigene believes in keeping the essence of this story alive. We work with artisans in their own region, their own ‘comfort zone’— a small effort to keep craft out of urban factories and karkhanas, in their original spaces.

Sustainability is about long-term relationships. Indigene continues to work with its first set of partners, artisans and needle-workers, who came on board when it started, even as it expands its network of craftspeople every year. As a label, it’s proud of its long yet ethical supply chain and the many hands involved in producing each garment.
