The double ikat Telia Rumal kurta is handwoven in 100% cotton by master weavers of this craft. Taking inspiration from the Chapans and Khilats of Central Asia, this kurta has quilted details on the shoulder and fine details in printed ajrakh. Telia Rumal is referred to the checked pattern in ikat from Andhra Pradesh, known to be used by fishermen as a head cloth to keep them cool at sea.
